Sarah Palin’s email account hacked!
Posted by Carlos C. on Wednesday, September 17th, 2008 at 5:46 pmHere are the details:
A hacker group called “Anonymous” has hacked into Sarah Palin’s email account, as well as found Bristol Palin’s cell phone number.
Gawker.com has posted screen shots of personal email, personal family photos, and the list of Sarah Palin’s address contact book.
Drunkenstepfather.com has posted disgusting phone call voicemails to Bristol Palin.
Macsmind.com is reporting that the Department of Justice will be investigating the email breach.
Hot Air is reporting the response from Rick Davis, McCain’s campaign manager:
“This is a shocking invasion of the Governor’s privacy and a violation of law. The matter has been turned over to the appropriate authorities and we hope that anyone in possession of these emails will destroy them. We will have no further comment.”
Liberals have raised the ante in this election.
Payback is going to be a bitch.
Hat Tips: Confederate Yankee, Gateway Pundit, Hot Air, Little Green Footballs, Michelle Malkin, and The Jawa Report
UPDATE 1: Drudge Report has picked up the story.
Fox News.com has the story. Fox News is reporting that Gawker will not be taking down the information.
“Here are the screenshots of the emails saved before the account went dark, along with the contact list. It’s newsworthy and we will not be taking it down!” the site declares.
Posting private email information is a federal crime. Hopefully, the Department of Justice will arrest the editors at Gawker.
UPDATE 2:
Through our friends at Gateway Pundit and JammieWearingFool, the idiots at the Huffington Post are saying that this “scandal” gives Sarah Palin “cover” to delete incriminating evidence. Sarah Palin does not have to delete any evidence because she is not guilty of any crime, nor has she committed any crime. Keep playing, hippies. I cannot wait until the Department of Justice arrests all of you.
Hat Tip: JammieWearingFool
UPDATE 3: CNN.com is reporting that the FBI and Secret Service are both investigating the email breach.
UPDATE 4: Michelle Malkin received an email about how Sarah Palin’s email account was hacked! Wow! This is a must read.
UPDATE 5:
The hacker’s email is believed to be “.”
I read though the emails… ALL OF THEM… before I posted, and what I concluded was anticlimactic, there was nothing there, nothing incriminating, nothing that would derail her campaign as I had hoped, all I saw was personal stuff, some clerical stuff from when she was governor… And pictures of her family.
If that yahoo email is really the hacker’s email, the FBI and Secret Service most likely know who the hacker is by now.
Also, Bill O’Reilly said he will follow up with the Attorney General and the FBI to make sure they arrest the editors of Gawker.
Tomorrow’s show should be fun.
UPDATE 6: The Secret Service is on the case!
Memo to law enforcement investigators tracking down who broke into Sarah Palin’s Yahoo email account: Gabriel Ramuglia might be a good place to start.
The 25-year-old webmaster and entrepreneur is the operator of Ctunnel.com, the browsing proxy service used by the group that hacked into the vice presidential candidate’s personal email account and exposed its contents to the world. While he has yet to examine his logs, he says there’s a good chance they will lead to those responsible, thanks to some carelessness on their part.
“Usually, this sort of thing would be hard to track down because it’s Yahoo email, and a lot of people use my service for that,” he told El Reg in a phone interview. “Since they were dumb enough to post a full screenshot that showed most of the [Ctunnel.com] URL, I should be able to find that in my log.”
Ramuglia said if he is contacted by law enforcement officials he will probably give them the information they seek. At time of writing, he’s received no inquiries from any law enforcement agencies, he said.
The breach of Palin’s account “is pretty clearly against my terms of service,” he said. “As exciting as it is to be in the news, this is not the type of activity I can encourage by any means.”
Finding the hacker should be easy if Ramuglia is not BS’ing about his webmaster skills.

When it Rains it pours
A Democratic Baroness Endorses McCain-Palin Ticket
By Michael Falcone
Though she said she might otherwise be “lunching,” Lynn Forester de Rothschild, the American-born baroness spent part of her afternoon defecting – from her political party’s presidential candidate – in full view of the press and a spray of television cameras.
Ms. de Rothschild, a personal friend and prominent backer of Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton and a member of the committee that helped draft the Democratic Party’s platform, announced on Wednesday that while she intended to keep her party affiliation, she would not be voting for Senator Barack Obama.
“It is the last place in the world I thought I would be in October 2008,” Ms. de Rothshchild, the New Jersey-born businesswoman who married into the British banking family, said at a press conference in Washington, D.C. organized by the McCain campaign.
“We have got to make the right choice about who goes to the White House,” she continued. “So this decision to vote Republican for the first time in my life has been after a lot of thought. I have looked at all four candidates very carefully and I have no question about what I am doing today.”
For months, Ms. De Rothschild been signaling her displeasure with Mr. Obama. In June, she told The New York Times that she could not “fall in line,” behind the Democratic nominee.
And on Wednesday, flanked by four American flags and wearing a McCain pin, she took herself out of line and positioned herself firmly in the G.O.P.’s corner.
“I believe that Barack Obama with MoveOn.org, and Nancy Pelosi and Howard Dean have taken the Democratic Party too far to the left,” she said. “I’m not comfortable there.”
Had she talked her decision over with Mrs. Clinton who urged her supporters to stand with Mr. Obama?
“No, no,” said Ms. de Rothschild, smiling and shaking her head. “Not since the convention.”
“I’m sure she is not pleased with what I’m doing today,” she conceded. “But you know what, I have to do what I believe in.”
And though she acknowledged that she and Mr. McCain’s running mate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin “disagree on some issues,” Ms. De Rothschild declared: “I love Sarah Palin,” adding, “I think she’s pretty cool.”
Ms. de Rothschild, who is the director and C.E.O. of E.L. Rothschild Limited, a British investment firm, spent much of her career as a telecommunications entrepreneur. She served for two years on President Bill Clinton’s advisory council on the country’s information infrastructure during the early 1990’s.
On Wednesday Ms. de Rothschild said she had already informed her family and business colleagues that she intended to spend the rest of the election season actively campaigning for the Republican ticket.
And although she stopped short of quitting her party entirely, Ms. de Rothschild, who ended the press conference by quoting a G.O.P. icon, seemed at least partially converted.
“Right now I feel a little bit like Ronald Reagan who said, ‘I didn’t leave the Democratic Party, the Democratic Party left me.’ ”

After this breach of privacy, I think more Democrats will find their way to McCain’s side.

Well this could be WaterGate version 2008!
September 17th, 2008 at 6:39 pm
“Well this could be WaterGate version 2008!”
Yeah, totally! McCain could get his buddy G. Gordon Liddy in on the action!
It’s definitely not cool to hack her email, but she also shouldn’t have been conducting even remotely government-related conversations by private email. Even Stevens!![;)](/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)
September 17th, 2008 at 6:40 pm
The Department of Justice will waterboard the hackers.![:)](/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
September 17th, 2008 at 6:48 pm
LOL I hope the DOJ waterboards the hackers. You gotta know they’re demoCRAPS! No one would ever notice a few gone! ROFL…
September 17th, 2008 at 6:49 pm
Michelle Malkin is right…..the leftist blog is gloating. And :”Hacking e-mail is a federal crime. A TV anchor who broke into his colleague’s e-mail account recently pleaded guilty and faces a maximum five years in prison.”
Off to jail libtard.
September 17th, 2008 at 8:52 pm
Hey Obama supporters, if this is the best you can do, try to hurt her and attack her family, you are hurting Obama more than you are helping him.
You want to destroy a good woman and a mother. FUCK YOU, liberals.
We would never stoop this low.
I hope the hacker gets anally raped and murdered in the holding tank.
September 17th, 2008 at 9:30 pm
“We would never stoop this low.”
Update! Turns out that Michelle Malkin did something very similar in 2006. Hypocrites, much? I suspect that this will be swept away somehow; outrage is much more fun!

Oreilly is calling the AG and we want to see those peeps in handcuffs
It is a federal offense…..LOCK EM UP
September 17th, 2008 at 9:50 pm
Nice try, Kenneth, but the Santa Cruz Students Against War made their phone numbers and emails available in their own press release!
Michelle Malkin published the original press release which included the group members phone numbers and emails. That personal information was placed in the press release by the group members themselves. The SAW group removed their personal information from their press release after they originally published the information first.
What Michelle Malkin did was totally legal.
September 17th, 2008 at 10:09 pm
When Desperate, the Democraps will do whatever they can to bring down the McCain/Palin ticket. Pretty sad to tell you the truth but it shows what a bunch of punks those people really are. I hope those people get prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. And when all is said and done, they better end up watching out, because the cell mates might end up hacking into them next. And they won’t be lovin that.
September 17th, 2008 at 10:11 pm
I’m kind of shocked. This is a pathetic attempt by Dems to bring dowm this ticket. Any response from the Obama Camp, Carlos?
September 17th, 2008 at 10:17 pm
I have not seen any response yet from the Obama campaign. I will post an update if they ever respond.
September 17th, 2008 at 10:48 pm
“The SAW group removed their personal information from their press release after they originally published the information first.
What Michelle Malkin did was totally legal.”
And she refused to remove it, even after the death threats came though… It’s not just about legality; it’s about the outrage.
September 17th, 2008 at 10:54 pm
When Gawker removes the information about Palin, then Michelle will remove the information about SAW.
I saw Michelle’s original blog. The SAW information is still there.

Knowing hacker incidents of the past, these people tend not to keep their mouth shut. They like to brag about what they’ve done and in doing so, often incriminate themselves in cases where even IP logging isn’t successful.
Although I’m sure all the FBI/Secret Service have to do at this point is go back to the unusual odd IP location to log into the account to find the original PERP… not that ever single other person that logged into the account shouldn’t also get prosecuted.
The coming weeks will be interesting.

Why dosen’t someone hack obama’s e-mail that would really be some intresting reading….
