Alan Colmes is leaving “Hannity and Colmes”!

Breaking: Alan Colmes is leaving his position as co-host of “Hannity & Colmes” at the end of 2008.
According to the FNC release, he will stay on as a liberal commentator for FNC and as host of The Alan Colmes Show on FOX News Radio. He will also begin developing a weekend program for FNC.
Colmes has been co-host of the 9pmET program for 12 years.
I would congratulate Alan Colmes, but he did start a nasty rumor about Sarah Palin not receiving good prenatal medical care, thus leading to Baby Trig’s Down Syndrome.

UPDATE 1: TV Newser (Media Bistro) and AllahPundit at Hot Air are floating the idea of a “Hannity and Powers” show.
She is a moderate Democrat. Plus, she fits the mold of a female anchor at Fox News - cute blond.
