FOX Business Network sues the Treasury Department!

Posted by Carlos C. on Friday, December 19th, 2008 at 5:02 pm

NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–FOX Business Network (FBN) has filed a lawsuit against the United States Treasury Department over failure to provide information on the bailout funds or respond to FBN’s expedited requests filed under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).

The initial request, filed on November 25, sought actual data on the use of the bailout funds for American International Group and the Bank of New York Mellon, and an additional request, filed on December 1, sought similar data on the bailout funds for Citigroup, Inc. FBN is asking for the Treasury Department to identify, among other issues, the troubled assets purchased, any collateral extended, and any restrictions placed on these financial institutions for their participation in this program.

Kevin Magee, Executive Vice President, FOX News commented, “The Treasury has repeatedly ignored our requests for information on how the government is allocating money to these troubled institutions. In a critical time like this amidst mounting corruptions and an economic crisis, we as a news organization feel it’s more important than ever to hold the government accountable.”

Steven Mintz, Esq. of Mintz & Gold LLP, and legal counsel for the network added, “Despite the several requests for expedited information filed by FBN, it has become apparent that the Treasury will not cooperate without mounting legal pressure. Therefore, we have filed a complaint in the Federal Court in New York and ask the Court to make the Treasury provide the information sought by the journalists at FBN.”

The FOIA complaint was filed by FOX News Network, LLC, as owner of FBN.

FOX Business Network (FBN) is a financial news channel delivering real-time information across all platforms that impact both Main Street and Wall Street. Headquartered in New York—the business capital of the world—FBN launched in October 2007 and is available in 45 million homes in major markets across the United States. Owned by News Corp, the network has bureaus in Chicago, Los Angeles, Silicon Valley, Washington, DC and London. On the web at www.foxbusiness.com.

But, but, but I thought FOX News was the Bush Administration’s personal propaganda machine!

At least that is what liberals have spewed for eight years now.

It seems like FOX News and the FOX Business Network are the only news agencies that care about the truth.

Where is MSNBC and CNBC? Kissing Barack Obama’s ass, I bet.

Fox News catches up to Rashid Khalidi.

Posted by Carlos C. on Friday, October 31st, 2008 at 6:12 pm

NewsBusters.org

Jenkins caught up with Khalidi, he asked:

Professor Khalidi. Hi. Griff Jenkins with Fox. Can I ask you a quick question? Can you just - what’s your relationship with Senator Obama? So you clarify it, sir. I apologize for interrupting but you’ve become the centerpiece of the election. Will you at least call for the L.A. Times to release the video? What was said? What was said at that speech?

Khalidi then ran for the elevator, but Jenkins didn’t give up and asked, “Were you the spokesman for the PLO? Will you confirm that?” Khalidi did not answer.

The PLO is the Palestinian Liberation Organization and was formerly led by Yasser Arafat. Recently, there has been some confusion about whether or not Khalidi was directly involved with the organization, specifically if Khalidi served as its spokesman. While most recently Khalidi has denied that he worked for the group, as reported by the New York Times, in 1982 the same newspaper ran an article which described Khalidi as a “director of the Palestinian press agency, Wafa.” And, as the American Spectator reports, page 7 of Khalidi’s 1986 book, Under Siege: P.L.O. Decisionmaking During the 1982 War, describes Wafa as “the PLO’s news agency.”

Apparently, Barack Obama’s Jew-hating mentor has nothing to say.

Wow!

Liberals, I am truly astounded by the brevity, the wit, and the passion of your logical argument - Fuck Fox News! It is a profound statement by the true elite of American intelligence. Liberals, you have shown to me that Fox News, or should I say Faux News, is just a corporate shill machine for the U.S. government run by Rupert Murdoch. I never knew that! Liberals, your peaceful demonstration by claiming that Fox News anchors are “fascist fucks” truly is Ghandi-esque. Yes, Fox News, as you liberals have so calmly suggested, is “opinionated bullshit”. Yet, you liberals march non-violently, never pushing, never cursing, and allow Fox News their freedom of speech and freedom of press.

American liberals, you have set an example for the world! A light of peace and understanding, a beacon perhaps, sitting at the top of a shining hill. Bravo, liberals! May you all continue your march of enlightenment throughout this week in Denver. Peace!

UPDATE 1:

2-4-6-8!

This is a police state!

Liberals! You have outdone yourselves again! All of you can count AND rhyme!

Marvelous!

Fox News refuses to run “Bill Ayers” ad!

Posted by Carlos C. on Friday, August 22nd, 2008 at 4:33 pm

Scoop This posted this ad yesterday.

Fox News is refusing to air this ad during it’s prime time programming:

However, this ad will run on MSNBC during the Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews shows.

UPDATE 1:
CNN is also refusing to air the ad!

UPDATE 3: Fox News is caving to the liberal idiots over at Think Progress. As Scoop This reader Karen Swanson correctly points out in the comments section, Fox News did run the wrong ad during Shepard Smith’s show earlier today. However, this ad is legitimate, and it is factually correct!

Also, the liberal idiots at the Huffington Post think that this ad violates election law. The conservative group American Issues Project has agreed to release the names of all of its monetary donors and prove that this ad does not violate election law.

CNN, FNC Reject Ayers Ad

The Associated Press’ Jim Kuhnhenn writes about a new ad from the American Issues Project aimed at Sen. Barack Obama.

The ad focuses on Obama’s relationship with William Ayers, a founder of the Weather Underground.

But don’t expect to see the ad on your cabler anytime soon — Kuhnhenn writes the ad was rejected by Fox News, and The New York Times’ Jim Rutenberg reports that CNN rejected the ad as well.

“Fox News Channel said Thursday night that it would not accept the advertisement amid questions about its legality,” writes Rutenberg. “That raised the possibility that other stations and networks could have similar issues, but Mr. Pinkston said he was confident the advertisement would have healthy exposure in the two states. CNN also said it turned the group down, citing a ban on negative advertisements from outside groups during the party conventions.”

Hopefully Fox News will air the ad when all legal issues are resolved.

I also hope CNN will run the ad after the conventions.

Only 50 Protesters At FNC Headquarters.

Posted by Carlos C. on Wednesday, July 23rd, 2008 at 7:07 pm

LOL!

That’s it?

Check out the full story at Media Bistro.

Now that Nas and Jay-Z have become friends, Nas, like Ludacris, is beefing with Bill O’Reilly!

Like 50 Cent sings, “That ain’t gangsta!”

No one from Fox News picked up the boxes containing more than 620,000 signatures.

The protesters stood quietly for about an hour until Nas appeared, most holding pre-made or hand-made signs. Many Fox News employees came to check out the scene, including Red Eye host Greg Gutfeld and some of the show’s staff. “This is quite possibly the most boring protest ever.”

Protest Outside FNC Headquarters!

Posted by Carlos C. on Wednesday, July 23rd, 2008 at 4:22 pm

Media Bistro

Steve’s outside Fox News headquarters right now covering a protest sponsored by ColorOfChange.org and MoveOn.org. They, along with hip hop star Nas, will deliver a petition signed by 620,127 people demanding that, as a press release states, “FOX end its pattern of racist attacks against Black Americans including presidential candidate Barack Obama and his wife Michelle.” A full report later this afternoon.

LOL!

Please, if anyone knows of any “racist attacks” made by any Fox News anchors towards Black Americans, I will post the transcript and / or video on Scoop This.

I hope that Steve and Chris at TVNewser / Media Bistro post pictures from the FNC protest!

I’ll be more than happy to post those pics on Scoop This.

The last time a racist remark was aired on Fox News, it was made by…..

JESSE JACKSON!!!

Media Bistro

Breaking News: What Else Jesse Jackson Said on That FNC Tape???

Exclusive: TVNewser has been sent the transcript of what Jesse Jackson said Sunday morning July 6, as he prepared for an interview on Fox & Friends Weekend. Below is the partial transcript we received in our tips box, and confirmed to be authentic by Fox News Channel representatives.

“Barack…he’s talking down to black people…telling niggas how to behave.”

So, yes. Jesse Jackson did use the “N” word. But it was not directed at Barack Obama. Fox News and Bill O’Reilly have maintained there was more on the tape, but that the un-aired portion was not relevant to the issue at hand: about whether Obama was “talking down” to the black community.
