Anyone listening to Glenn Beck?!

Glenn Beck is talking about an ArmyTimes.com article saying that an Army brigade has deployed inside America.
The 3rd Infantry Division’s 1st Brigade Combat Team has spent 35 of the last 60 months in Iraq patrolling in full battle rattle, helping restore essential services and escorting supply convoys.
Now they’re training for the same mission — with a twist — at home.
Beginning Oct. 1 for 12 months, the 1st BCT will be under the day-to-day control of U.S. Army North, the Army service component of Northern Command, as an on-call federal response force for natural or manmade emergencies and disasters, including terrorist attacks.
Salon.com has a lengthy article about this. Daily Kos also has a blog, but I am not linking to those idiots. The people there are most likely spewing Orwellian gloom and doom.
Also, Glenn Beck says that a source close to the President has told him something “big” will happen. I think Beck hinted at President Bush saying “we are going to be there”. Does Beck mean Iran?
Glenn Beck is telling everyone not to panic and to have a “September 12th” mindset. He says, “When push comes to shove, Americans stand next to Americans.”

Anyone else listening to Glenn Beck? What do you make of all of this?
UPDATE 1: Glenn Beck said that he will reveal a bit more in his free newsletter this weekend.
I have been told that Glenn Beck is a fear monger. I did not know that.
But, all I am asking is if anyone heard Beck’s show between 9:50am and 10:30am when Beck talked about his “source” that is “close” to President Bush.

Remember that the people freaking out about this unit being stationed in the US specifically for “disaster relief” or other domestic issues, are the same people who complained that the national guard was too busy in Iraq in order to assist with Katrina.
The Hypocrisy of the left is utterly fascinating.

Eh, I never put too much credence in these unnamed sources. I’m sure the US would never act against Iran in a military surprise…but of course, Israel might.

I heard it, and after trying to tie together the jumbled, halting, erratic way that Glenn now speaks, I think he was tying these things together:
* Impending economic meltdown
* 1st Brigade Combat Team to deal with such domestic issues as “civil unrest”
* Source stating the President said something to the effect that we’ll do what we can, if we survive.
I think what he was jiving at was, could we be on the brink of an absolute financial/economic meltdown, which would mean people without the ability to pay for food, electricity, water, etc, which would put us all in danger of each other as some/many would resort to violence to obtain the necessities. This unrest could gain momentum, resulting in some state of anarchy.
This is what I interpreted him to be saying.

Yes, I was listening, however, I passed this article around a week ago. Man….are we in trouble!! Get prepared and be able to protect yourself and your home.
