Russia attempted to assassinate President Saakashvili and President Kaczynski!

Posted by Carlos C. on Monday, November 24th, 2008 at 2:18 pm

Bloomberg.com

Russia denied its troops fired on a motorcade carrying Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili and his Polish counterpart near the breakaway region of South Ossetia.

“There was no shooting from our positions or from the position of the South Ossetia troops,” Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told reporters late yesterday in Peru’s capital, Lima.

As the presidents’ vehicles approached a checkpoint outside the disputed South Ossetian town of Akhalgori, gunshots were fired, she said. No one was injured in the shooting and the motorcade headed back to the Georgian capital, Tbilisi.

The entire incident was a “provocation,” said Lavrov, who was in Lima for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit.

“When the president is being invited for some celebration in Tbilisi and they put him in a car and take him to a different state, this is a true provocation,” he said.

Russia is full of crap.

Let us call this what it really was - an assassination attempt on the lives of Polish President, Lech Kaczyński, and Georgian President, Mikheil Saakashvili.

Massive voter fraud across Florida, Georgia and Ohio!

Posted by Carlos C. on Tuesday, November 4th, 2008 at 11:37 am

WSBTV.com

ATLANTA — Georgia’s Secretary of State has launched a full investigation and may seek criminal charges against three Georgia men who appear to have early-voted twice.

“This is extraordinarily disturbing,” said Secretary of State Karen Handel.

A team of investigative journalists from WSB-TV in Atlanta, WFTV in Orlando and WFTS in Tampa and WCPO in Cincinnati compared Georgia’s voter rolls with those in Florida and Ohio and found more than 100,000 people who appear to be registered to vote in more than one state, with no government oversight to catch it.

100,000 people registered across three states? Unholy voter fraud!

100,000 can sway the election to either candidate in those three states, especially Ohio.

Check out the WSBTV video report.

Posted by Kelsey Golden on Friday, September 5th, 2008 at 10:13 am

DEBKAfile Special Report

September 5, 2008, 12:58 PM (GMT+02:00)

The Russian raid was disclosed by UPI chief editor Arnaud de Borchgrave, who is also on the Washington Times staff, and picked up by the Iranian Fars news agency. The Russian raid of two Georgian airfields, which Tbilisi had allowed Israel to use for a potential strike against Iran’s nuclear facilities, followed the Georgian offensive against South Ossetia on Aug. 7.

DEBKAfile’s intelligence sources report that flying from S. Georgia over the Caspian Sea to Iran would sharply trim the distance to be spanned by Israeli fighter-bombers, reducing flying time to 3.5 hours. More…

Read the amazing story of Tzur Sheizaf, the Israeli journalist nearly shot, on Ynet News.

Posted by Carlos C. on Thursday, August 14th, 2008 at 4:51 pm

Wow! Tamara Urushadze is lucky that the sniper mostly missed his shot and it’s just a flesh wound on her left arm. Also, at least it was not a head shot, because four more bullets passed by her! Tamara was reporting live when she was shot in the city of Gori, which is now known as “sniper’s alley”. After finishing her live report, Tamara was taken to the hospital.

Russian Army Within 15 Miles of Georgia Capital!

Little Green Footballs

Several news organizations have reported that the Russian military is now within minutes of the Georgian capital of Tbilisi.

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is giving a press briefing…

Breaking News…

Developing…

UPDATE 1: Earlier today, President Bush warned Russia that “the U.S. would stand behind its ally Georgia and warned Russia that it must respect the ‘territorial integrity’ of (Georgia).” By advancing forward towards Tbilisi, the Russians have effectively violated the truce designed to end the six-day war. There are also reports of gunmen targeting children and another report claiming that pro-U.S. Ukraine is next on Russia’s hit list.

UPDATE 2: Say Anything Blog is reporting that President Bush has ordered the U.S. military to provide humanitarian aid to the Georgian people. Two C-17 cargo jet planes are heading to Tbilisi, Georgia’s capital city. The value of the aid is estimated at $1.28 million.

Russian President Medvedev orders halt to Russian advance!

Posted by Carlos C. on Tuesday, August 12th, 2008 at 6:03 am

msnbc.msn.com

TBLISI, Georgia - Russian President Dmitri Medvedev ordered an end to the military operation in Georgia on Tuesday, the Kremlin said.

Medvedev said the military has punished Georgia and restored security for civilians and Russian peacekeepers in South Ossetia.

But he ordered the military Tuesday to defend itself and quash any aggressive action and armed resistance from Georgian forces.

“I have taken the decision to bring to an end the operation to force the Georgian authorities to peace,” Medvedev told Russian Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov, according to a Kremlin spokesman.

Earlier, Russia’s foreign minister said that Georgia’s president must leave office and Georgian troops should stay out of the breakaway South Ossetia region for good.

Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Moscow won’t talk to President Mikhail Saakashvili and that Saakashvili had “better go.”

Both statements came as French President Nicolas Sarkozy headed to Moscow Tuesday to negotiate an EU-brokered truce for the fierce conflict over the breakaway region.

Sarkozy was aiming to win Kremlin backing for a joint European Union-OSCE ceasefire plan which Georgia says it has already accepted.

Sounds like the Russian Army just annexed South Ossetia!

Plus, the Russian government, which is calling for Georgian President Saakashvili to step down, will most likely try to install a Georgian puppet loyal to the Kremlin.

As I said in a previous blog, Russian Czar Prime Minister Putin is trying to reclaim the 15 satellite states that broke away from the U.S.S.R., starting with pro-U.S. Georgia.

Georgian-Russian War: What You Need To Know!

Posted by Carlos C. on Monday, August 11th, 2008 at 4:02 pm

thesun.co.uk

WAR broke out between Russia and Georgia over the weekend — but what’s behind the conflict?

Here The Sun explains:

Q: Where is Georgia?

Georgia straddles Asia and Europe, between Turkey and southern Russia.

Q: What is South Ossetia?

Officially part of Georgia, the breakaway territory runs its own affairs. The size of Suffolk, it has a population of 70,000 — most of them hold Russian passports.

Q: Why is there a conflict?

The South Ossetians want full independence from Georgia but the government wants it to remain part of Georgia. The two went to war in 1991-92 before peacekeepers were sent in. But fighting has continued between separatists and the Georgians.

Q: How did this new war start?

Separatists allegedly fired at Georgian peacekeepers. Georgia started to bomb Tskhinvali, the capital of South Ossetia on Friday. Russia responded by sending in tanks and bombing parts of Georgia.

Q: Why does it matter to us?

Georgia is pro-Western and has troops in Iraq. The £2billion Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil and gas pipeline passes through Georgia on its way to supplying the West.

Q: What happens next?

Georgia say they have pulled their troops out of South Ossetia and Western leaders want the Russians to do the same. But the conflict could spread to another Georgian region, the larger Abkhazia, which also has Russian-backed separatists.

The country of Georgia (roughly the size of South Carolina) attacked factions last week inside South Ossetia, which is part of Georgia, that want to reunite with Russia. After Georgia sent troops to quell the situation, Russia decided to attack Georgia by claiming that Russia is protecting its citizens inside South Ossetia. However, Russia’s ultimate purpose is to take control of all of Georgia, which broke away from the former Soviet Union on April 9, 1991.

The Czar of Russia The Prime Minister of Russia, Vladimir Putin, is still in charge of Russia. President Dmitry Medvedev has been demoted to visiting Russian refugees in hospitals. On Putin’s orders, the Russian military has effectively cut Georgia in half and Russian troops continue to push into Georgia. Charges of ethnic cleansing have been leveled against Russia for their lack to sign a cease fire agreement against Georgia.
