Obama Irritated at Reporter

Posted by Holly Martin on Friday, January 23rd, 2009 at 1:02 pm

During an impromtu meeting with the White House Press Corps on Thursday, President Barack Obama put the breaks on one inquiring mind. A reporter for Politico, Jonathan Martin asked Obama about his choice for deputy Secretary of Defense, William Lynn. Obama said he was not there to take questions and ignored the reporter, saying, “I can’t end up visiting you guys and shaking hands if I am going to grilled every time I come down here.”

Undeterred, Martin continued his line of questioning at which point President Obama placed his hand on the man’s shoulder, sternly stared him in the eyes, and clearly irritated said, “All right, come on. We will be having a press conference, at which time you can feel free to [ask] questions.”

Mr. Martin was referring to Obama’s nominee for deputy Secretary of Defense, William Lynn. Lynn is a former lobbyist for defense contractor Raytheon. Clearly, this choice is in stark contrast to Obama’s outspoken anti-lobbying statements made during the election.

Well, well, well…President Obama may have to get used to reporters actually asking tough questions, instead of bowing and scraping to him. If he’s already feeling the heat, God only knows how long he’ll last in the kitchen.

Castro Praises Obama

Posted by Holly Martin on Friday, January 23rd, 2009 at 12:31 pm

New picture released by Argentina

There’s a ringing endorsement.

Former Cuban President, Fidel Castro posted an essay Thursday on his “Reflections” website that stated: “Obama has transformed himself under the inspiration of Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King Jr. to the point of becoming a living symbol of the American dream.” Abraham Lincoln…really? Lincoln freed slaves. The only people Obama will free are terrorists.

Michelle Malkin on the “My President is Black” controversy.

Posted by Carlos C. on Thursday, January 22nd, 2009 at 7:41 pm

This story has really blown up.

I thought that Young Jeezy saying he was glad shoes were thrown at President Bush would be a big controversy, but many people are offended by the “N” word, as well as the rude and outlandish behavior exhibited by Jay Z and Young Jeezy.

The Huffington Post totally missed the entire point of the outrage and freely called all Conservatives “racists”. They do not fact check at that website.

Many people, especially Blacks, are offended by the actions and words of Jay Z and Young Jeezy. As a fan of Jay Z myself, I thought he was more mature than going on a rant against President Bush. I listened to conservative talk radio today and many Blacks called into Limbaugh, Hannity, and Schnitt today expressing their disgust at Jay Z and Young Jeezy.

Hopefully, President Obama denounces Jay Z and Young Jeezy, but I doubt that happens.

22 Weeks!

Posted by Carlos C. on Thursday, January 22nd, 2009 at 11:33 am

22 Weeks

A young woman is locked in the bathroom of an abortion clinic after her aborted baby was born alive.

A film about decisions, their affects and the echoes they leave behind. Based on the shocking World Net Daily article by Ron Strom, on victim’s testimonies, and real 911 calls about one of the most controversial subjects of our time, “22 Weeks” achieves to confront both sides of the spectrum and their perspective to the ongoing question: “what would you do?”

WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

I definitely want to see this movie.

The scary part about all of this is that it is - true.

Let’s trade!

Posted by Carlos C. on Thursday, January 22nd, 2009 at 10:53 am

Jack Murtha says that he will take all of the Guantanamo terrorist detainees into his district.

Hot Air reports:

Rep. Jack Murtha, D-Pa., says he’d be willing to house prisoners from Guantanamo Bay in his congressional district if President Obama makes good on a plan to close the U.S. prison there.

As one of his first acts in office, the president circulated a draft Wednesday that would shut down Guantanamo Bay within a year.

Murtha only has a minimum security prison in his district. But he says he’d have no reservations about holding detainees there in a maximum security prison.

“Sure, I’d take ‘em,” said Murtha, an outspoken critic of the Iraq war. “They’re no more dangerous in my district than in Guantanamo.”

Is this a wise idea?

One Pennsylvania voter offers a compromise:

“We’ll take the detainees if Gitmo will take Murtha.”

Let’s trade!

(Just kidding. Just send Murtha to Guantanamo. We do not want terrorists receiving Constitutional rights… right?)

I whore for the right, too.

Posted by Carlos C. on Thursday, January 22nd, 2009 at 10:38 am

Some idiot at the Huffington Post writes:

Michelle Malkin Doesn’t Care About Black People

To mark the day, Michelle Malkin kept a whimsical inauguration cliché count, supposedly monitoring utterances of the “First black president in American history” and “We are witnessing history.”

Michelle didn’t hide her contempt for all this attention being paid to Obama or for the credit he’s getting for being our first black president. She also made space on her blog to point out that no one in the media was covering how Obama inauguration celebrant Jay-Z often uses the word “nigga.” Then she uploaded a video on her site to prove it and sniffed, “And you wonder why some of us don’t believe MLK’s dream has been completely fulfilled …”

Now, many of you may be wondering why someone who is of Asian decent would be so antagonistic toward Obama and his background. And while Michelle may be a whore for the far-right — and she is certainly being a good one by discounting this momentous event — it still gives us pause. While most whores love to bring joy to people, it seems this one only seeks to spread hate.

No, I do not link to the Huffington Post. Their entire website is comprised of true hatemongers. The same is true of Daily Kos.

Anyways, who says that all conservatives have to be “white”? That is what the “writer” of this article is implying.

Who cares if Barack Obama is black? Or half-black and half-white? What will matter in the end will be President Obama’s policies, and so far, he has made mostly liberal and Socialist decisions.

As a Conservative (and a Puerto Rican, if people are Huffington Post are wondering about my nationality), President Obama’s liberal and Socialist policies worry me.

To my fellow Scoop This bloggers, are you guys and gals whores as well?

The media FINALLY stand against Barack Obama.

Posted by Carlos C. on Thursday, January 22nd, 2009 at 8:11 am

NEW YORK – Three news agencies refused to distribute White House-provided photos of President Barack Obama in the Oval Office on Wednesday, arguing that access should have been provided to news photographers.

The Associated Press, Reuters and Agence France Presse said the White House was breaking with longstanding tradition in not allowing news photographers to capture the president at work in the Oval Office on his first day.

“We are not distributing what are, in effect, visual press releases,” said Michael Oreskes, managing editor for U.S. news at the AP.

The news agencies have used White House-provided images in the past for areas in the White House where media access is generally not permitted, such as the Situation Room or the private residence. But they contend that the Oval Office is the public office of the president and photographers should have access rather than rely on a government handout.

“Using these photos would be a major break with established precedent and would compromise the long-held tradition of independent photo coverage of the president and the White House by the major news agencies,” said Courtney Dolan, spokeswoman for Thomson Reuters.

There was no immediate reply to e-mail and phone messages left with Obama representatives.

The White House later released a photograph of the president retaking the oath of office with Chief Justice John Roberts, which the AP also rejected.

Vincent Amaluy, director of photographer for North and South America for AFP, said he suspected first-day confusion was more at play than an attempt to clamp down on access.

“We are hopeful of negotiating an amicable solution,” Oreskes said.

The two-year honeymoon is over!

President Obama lifts ban on funding abortions abroad.

Posted by Carlos C. on Thursday, January 22nd, 2009 at 6:17 am

I was going to originally title this blog “President Obama kills babies!”, but why be controversial?

Fox News.com

President Obama will issue an executive order on Thursday reversing the Bush administration policy that bans the use of federal dollars by non-govermental organizations that discuss or provide abortions outside of the United States.

Obama will sign the executive order on the 36th anniversary of the landmark Roe v. Wade Supreme Court ruling that legalized abortion in all 50 states.

The policy, known in governmental circles as the “Mexico City policy,” requires any non-governmental organization to agree before receiving U.S. funds that they will “neither perform nor actively promote abortion as a method of family planning in other nations.”

The language was announced at the United Nations International Conference on Population in 1984, and was approved by President Reagan and originally drafted by his assistant secretary of state, Alan Keyes.

I guess this ad was ineffective in swaying President Obama’s decision.

Murderer.
